Öğeler‘in Önerme I.37 ve 39’u ile Pappus Teoremi, ve Pappus Teoremi ile Desargues Teoremi kanıtlanır. Desargues Teoremi sayesinde öyle bir denklik bağıntısı vardır ki Thales Teoremi, oranlar ve orantılar için bir tanım olarak kabul edilebilir.
